EUTEMPE-net bietet Fort- und Weiterbildungskurse auf hohem Niveau für Medizinphysiker an, die aus unterschiedlichen Modulen des Online- und Präsenzunterrichts bestehen. Das Online-Programm startet im August 2023.

The remit of EUTEMPE-net is to provide high level training for Medical Physics Experts. This is achieved in modules that combine upfront online teaching, followed by focused face to face training. This approach gives participants the flexibility to combine study with their routine work. 

Alistair Mackenzie and John Loveland welcome you (or your students) to their EUTEMPE module in Guildford, UK, between October 9th – 10th, 2023. The topic is “Undertaking and understanding quantitative measurements in digital radiography”. The online program starts soon, with the EUTEMPE e-learning platform opening on August 28th, 2023. This module helps the medical physicist to develop an understanding of quantitative metrics in digital radiography and then offers in-depth advice on their measurement.

Our module on quantitative measurement starts by building up the underlying knowledge of NPS and MTF. This understanding unlocks the potential of these metrics for a number of different modalities. You will understand how these metrics can be used to improve the quality of imaging for the x-ray systems in your QA network. 

This is your chance to deepen your understanding and improve your practical skills in measuring and interpreting metrics such as MTF, the noise power spectrum and the DQE of digital detectors / digital mammography. For the module in Guildford, we offer an online version only, as an alternative to the online – face to face combination. The online preparation is extensive and up to date. During the face to face meeting, you will deepen your understanding of these measurements by discussing and working closely with experts in the field. You learn the practical aspects of these tests.

You can ask for an ENEN2plus travel grant at https://mobility.enen.eu/.  As this is only for cross border training, UK physicists are not eligible this time.

Also starting up again is the module on “Quality Assurance of x-ray imaging systems”. The online platform opens on September 1st, 2023, followed by face to face part in Leuven, Belgium, November 13th – 15th, 2023. Your module leaders are Hilde Bosmans and Nicholas Marshall. Registration will open in 1 month.
