Upcoming EFOMP Schools & EUTEMPE Module 2026–2027
Die European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (EFOMP) weist auf mehrere Fortbildungsangebote für Medizinphysiker:innen in den Jahren 2026 und 2027 hin. Das Programm umfasst Veranstaltungen zu aktuellen Themen aus Strahlentherapie, Dosimetrie, Nuklearmedizin, Ultraschall und Röntgendiagnostik.
ESMPE Schools and EFOMP workshop at the 6th ECMP 2026 – European Congress of Medical Physics (23rd September 2026, Valencia, Spain)
These events will be accredited by EBAMP (European Board of Accreditation for Medical Physics) and Spanish certification (EVES) and will focus on the following topics:
- Physics, Technology and Biology in clinical proton and ion beam therapy
- Auto Planning methods for Radiotherapy
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Ultrasound: Physics, Techniques and Clinical Applications
- Radionuclide Patient Discharge following Molecular Radiotherapy
- EFOMP Workshop: Image Reconstruction for Quantitative Molecular Diagnostics & Radionuclide Therapy
Stereotactic Radiotherapy -29th – 31st October 2026, Cluj, Romania, (hybrid school)
The school will be aimed at different aspects of Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT), including both cranial and extracranial applications, from basics to treatment imaging and planning to motion management, quality assurance and image guidance.
Dosimetry for Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging (CT, Mammography, PET, SPECT, CBCT) / Radiation Therapy -4th – 6th February 2027, Prague, Czech Republic (hybrid school)
The school will provide a comprehensive introduction to photon dosimetry in diagnostic and therapeutic medical applications. It will include the practical application of international recommendations, together with current approaches in modern medical imaging and radiation therapy.
Theranostics Including Gamma Camera Technology -22nd – 24th April 2027, Athens, Greece (hybrid school)
The school will be introducing the basic concepts of Theranostics in Nuclear Medicine. It will provide a comprehensive overview of the scientific principles, clinical applications, some historic examples to learn from and emerging developments in theranostics across a range of diseases.
